The poor condition in Manyaifun, West Papua has showed us facts that some regions in Indonesia lag behind in terms of educational quality and public facility (electricity). The lack of educational resources is also compounded by social and geographical conditions which renders incentives to attain education ineffective. Nevertheless, governments still come with a set of broad conclusions.
Instead, they actually should draw some lessons which are simple yet powerful, and keep in mind that small changes can have great effects. Using this mindset, I, together with my friends, initiated several projects to enhance educational quality and public facility (electricity) by developing a learning center that is powered by solar panels. These powerful small changes are something that I have helped effect by not only lighting up the world but also widening people’s horizon.
