About the Program

KKN-PPM Cross-Cultural Student Community Service Program is an international community engagement initiative organized by the Directorate of Community Service, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). The program offers active undergraduate students from universities outside Indonesia the opportunity to participate in UGM’s flagship Student Community Service (KKN-PPM) program through a 10-day immersive community-based learning experience.

Unlike conventional volunteering or study tours, participants are integrated into selected UGM KKN-PPM units and collaborate directly with Indonesian students from various academic disciplines while living and working alongside local communities. Through this unique experience, students apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings, develop intercultural competencies, and contribute to sustainable development initiatives that address local community needs.
