PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero) Dieng Unit cooperates with the Student Community Service Team of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) in a geothermal socialization program in Pekasiran Village, Dieng. The activity is one of the GeoDipa community development programs titled GeoDipa Pintar.

Puguh Wintoro, General Manager of the Dieng GeoDipa Unit said that it was a pleasure to work together with UGM in a geothermal socialization program. The community has the right to know that geothermal energy is environmentally friendly energy. Pekasiran Village people live side by side with one of the geothermal producing areas, namely Candradimuka which has a potential of around 50 MW. Candradimuka is one of the areas included in the Geodipa geothermal development plan. Hopefully with this activity, community support will become even more massive so that development activities run well.

Geothermal socialization was attended by around 100 people consisting of the community and village officials. The Regional Government of Banjarnegara Regency attended and even became one of the speakers in the event.

In general, in Pekasiran Village, Batur Subdistrict, Banjarnegara Regency, Central Java Province and belong to the Dieng Plateau Geothermal Working Area. Pekasiran village is the main village for the Dieng GeoDipa Unit community development program. (agd)
